We've answered some of our most common questions here - but we are always available to answer any questions that you may have regarding storing with us.

What is the size of the storage?

Our self-storage units come in a range of sizes, from smaller locker size to double garage size. For specific dimensions, please get in touch.

How can I access my goods while in store?

You can access your storage 6am-11pm, seven days a week.

What happens of I want to cancel my storage?

Please let us know as soon as possible if you don’t wish to use the storage. We won’t make any cancellation charges but we would ask that you give us as much notice as possible.

Are there any maximum or minimum lengths of stay?

There’s a minimum of one month and no maximum, which means that we charge you up until the day that you are in store providing you with the fairest pricing policy we possibly can.

Can anyone else access my storage?

We don’t mind anyone accessing your unit as long as you have provided us with written permission i.e. an email or letter. We will reserve the right to turn anyone away from accessing unless we are happy that they are approved and can provide identification

Are my goods going to be safe?

Yes! We make every effort to ensure our warehouse is safe, clean and secure. Our sites have 24 hrs digital CCTV and intruder and fire alarms linked to security services.

Do I need to book in advance?

We usually ask for a day’s notice before you want your storage to allow us to have the contract ready for when you arrive, but in the event of short notice we will always have some storage space available for you.

How much notice do I need to give?

We usually ask for 28 days’ notice to allow us time to close your account but will work hard to fill the unit from the minute you tell us your moving out date.

Are there hidden extras?

No! You simply pay for the storage you use. We provide you with a security fob when you move in. Padlocks are available to buy from us but you are welcome to use your own.

Be aware that other companies may sneak in extra charges or might include “initial discounts” where the price will rise after just a few weeks in store.

Are my goods insured?

If it’s worth storing, then it’s worth insuring. Whilst we don’t insist you use our insurance we do insist that your goods are insured. We do provide competitively priced insurance for your items whilst in store. With the insurance that you can purchase with Camel Storage, all of your goods in our storage facilities are insured against most major risks – fire, theft due to forced entry, flood and water damage, impact by aircraft.

In many cases, household insurance may cover individual items against “accidental damage” whilst in store – it’s worth checking with your insurer.

We also ask all of our self-storage customers to sign an insurance declaration when they move into store.
